Is this a good tv and blu-ray question?

I want to get an LCD tv, I’ve found one at future shop. Does anyone have it or a similar one, and is it a good tv?

And I was considering getting a blu-ray player, can i play regular dvds on it? I don’t want to have two different dvd players on my entertainment stand

Is this Sony home theatre in a box good (It’s an HTIB but with lots of inputs)?

I am thinking of buying the “Sony Home Theatre System (HTSF2000)”

It is the full type system with speakers, sub and receiver.

It’s a really slim looking system with slim tall speakers and a slim tiny receiver BUT unlike most slim home theatre in a box (HTIB) sets, this actually has several audio/video and HDMI slots!

I plan to use it with a 42 inch LCD TV and will plug in a DVD player, Cable Box and PS3.

It is available at Future Shop in Canada (Future Shop is like Best Buy in Canada) for $699.

p.s. I WAS ALSO WONDERING IF I do not use the rear speakers and just the front ones, will that make the sound messed up on a system like this or would it work fine? I know that with independent receivers where you buy your own speakers, you can just plug in front speakers and it will work fine, but with a combo package like this, will it work to just use the front speakers?

Camera Question, Walmart a good place 2 buy?

I know, I know, this is like, the 3rd question about cameras i have asked, but this is the last one, i think. Okay, I have been making up a christmas list in the past week or so, because my mom likes to get all the shopping done early. Samsung PN50A450 – is it that good?

I’m trying to figure out whether to go with lcd or plasma but when I saw the specs on this tv and the fact that it has 3D technology it’s kind of too good to be true. It’s cheaper than a few of the lcd tvs I have been looking at but it’s so much better at the same time. Why is the tv so cheap? Are there anythings I should know about? Would you go with this plasma or some other tv like an lcd? For this tv I’ll probably be using it for gaming and movies, along with obviously everyday tv. Thank you for any help.

yes, I was thinking about the burn-in effect on the tv, however the features include “anti-burn-in tech”. Does that really work or can it still suffer this problem?
So lcd is the best way to go? or could I still deal with this tv as long as I make sure I don’t game for too long and take any precautions to the burn-in effect.
